For this part of the project, we are analysing two musical compositions; Beth’s Theme by Ólafur Arnalds and Mile High by James Blake. We are to discuss whether we enjoyed the songs, what the composers are trying to achieve with the songs and if this has been successful, and some musical elements that we can hear in the song for example: Dynamics, texture, harmony, melody etc. The two songs are very different in genre and mood so thee will both be interesting to analyse and discuss!
