Our project for this term is to create a composition designed for a temporal distortion video of a time-lapse of the Earth’s sky. By watching the video for the first time I believe the final composition should reflect on the beauty of the earth as well as the chaos. The middle of the piece show the wind kicking up a but so I want it to get a bit more intense there. To do this I will make the texture thicker. We used Beth’s theme as a temp score for the video which helped me understand more what I want to do. I want the beauty of the video to be highlighted by a sad melancholic track, that will gradually get more intense.
To be classical and fit the theme of the composition I will use classic instruments such as; Cello, Piano, Violin and viola. These instruments can create the peaceful, sad and chaotic atmosphere I want.
