Project Planning

Week 1- My plan for this week is to be able to play “You’ve got the love’ from start to finish with the arpeggio pattern in the chorus. This is because in my first performance of this song I did not know the chords well enough to play the arpeggios.

Week 2- My plan for this week is to learnt the structure of ‘Love On The Brain’ as the bridge often takes me by surprise as I do not know the song that well. I will learn the structure by listening to the song and playing along side the music at home.

Week 3– My plan for this is to be confident with my cues in transparent soul as I come in half way through the intro and verse, I will learn my cues by listening to the song more and playing along side it. As well as counting to the beat of the music to recognise when to come into the song. This week I would also like to be able to run through our set list from start to finish and spend later band rehearsals cleaning up the mistakes. This week I also want to start developing a draft contract for the event on the 20th of October.

Week 4-This week I plan to have finished my draft contract and begin working on my final contract. I also plan to learn Seven Nation Army (jazz) from start to finish, and start experimenting with playing inside the chords to create an interesting keyboard melody for the song.

Week 5– My goal for this week start printing out the contracts for the event and begin getting them signed by all performers for the event. I also want to have learned the songs to a performance standard by know and begin making little tweaks to make our set list sound better.

Week 6– This week I plan to have performed the songs in the final performance and have finished all my written work. I also want to be able to submit all my work on time for the deadline.
