the characteristics of death-core are a heavy double bass drum pattern that tends to repeat throughout the song with blast beats and high and low pitch shrieks and growls.
an example of this would be any lorna shore song but I’ve chosen to use and i return to nothingness as my example of all these traits.
each instrument keeps pace with one another at fast tempos and theres lots of breakdowns and half time sections in the music which adds ambience to the track
I decided to use these ideas in my track to try create the same effect whilst listening back to the track.
I also used breakdowns that are essential for most death-core songs even tho our track falls more into funk metal I like mixing things up with different genres of metal.
I also used some drum techniques used by polyphia’s drummer Clay Aeschliman with his fancy stick techniques on the snare drum with his off beat pattens with the kick drum.
