PAT Testing
Portable appliance testing (PAT), is a check of electrical appliances, both physically and through tests, to ensure that you’re mentaining high standards of electrical safety, this is important when working with high-wattage appliances. Because im doing most of my recording in college i dont need to worry about getting this done because its a legal requirement for hardware in college.
Technical testing is important to do pre-production because it allows me to experiment with recording equipment, microphone placement, room acoustics, and production techniques before beginning final recordings.
