THE LAST DINNER PARTY-

One aspect that makes this performance enjoyable is the singers confidence and good use of stage presanse witch engages the viewer. Changes in instrumental effects from soft and piano to loud and forte with lots of distortion keep the audience interested as it ads more variety to the song. the three singers are also a unique feature witch is different from the traditional band layout. the front woman’s dancing and movement is a nice touch because shes preforming throughout witch is nice to see when watching live music.

BETH GIBBONS-

Beth gibbons remains in the same stationary position throughout the song, this fits with the somber meaning of what it’s about and represents her suffering. Instrumentally the guitarist plucks a melody to begin which pairs nicely with the pizzicato on violin, this adds interesting contrasts from the smooth and emotional group vocals, gentle strumming on guitar and the legato orchestral backing in the chorus. The wide range of interments and techniques presents a rich and varied texture throughout which differ from section to section but also all blend together smoothly.

BARRY CANT SWIM-

The other instrumentalists outfits differing from the front mans brings attention to him without taking away there acknowledgment as well. The live drums are not common for this genre of dance music and people often opt for a more electronic sound but they do bend in nicely with the rest of the song and bring a more human aspect with it witch I enjoy. The front man’s keys are very repetitive and a quite common rhythm but work as an anchor and help the song sound as one, during the solo on keys the bass line mirrors the rhythm to keep the flow going. He also dances and engages with the audience to make them feel more a part of the set, and encourages participation.
