Create and maintain an online blog/portfolio which documents your performance development and progress throughout the module. This should contain both ensemble and solo performances in contrasting scenarios. In addition to this, you should:
- Research a range of artistic brands and images and appraise these, taking into consideration different styles, genres and markets.
- Analyse developments in the music industry, especially those based around technology, and evaluate how this has impacted upon artists’ performance and profile.
- Ensure that you produce and maintain an artistic profile as a performer, in line with the research you have completed.
- Maintain this brand and presentation consistently through your performance portfolio.
- Explain how this profile meets the requirements of the new Music industry.
- Justify targets for improvement.
This should be presented in a way that is appropriate to the level of the qualification, ie. demonstrating correct referencing, critical analysis, relevant research and an independent approach to your studies.
Where appropriate, you are encouraged to upload content to your blog/portfolio from both the workshops/rehearsals in College, as well as any external gigs and performances that you have undertaken. Any video and audio you capture should be of similar quality to the evidence uploaded by the module tutor.
The word count for this blog is 2000 words, with related video and audio evidence where appropriate. It should be published on your blog, and also uploaded to Turnitin by the deadline.
