Camera Angles and meaning

In the opening sequence of this scene The Joker is shown in the dark whereas Jim Gordon is shown in the light, this is to imply the good vs evil narrative.

When Batman is introduced to the scene, he towers over the Joker and the Joker is filmed from a lower angle to show the shift of power when Batman enters, this is also to show who exactly is in control in the scene as Batman is beating the Joker up as he interrogates him.

The Joker begins to be shown at a more mid camera angle after he begins to explain how he has both Harvey Dent and Rachel in potentially life-threatening situations, this is to show that despite Batman being in control at the beginning The Joker has now established an element of control.

Film edit reflection

Whilst using Premiere Pro I have learned how the interface worked, a lot of the skills I learned were sharpening of tools that I already knew from my time using programs of Sony Vegas, Nathan however showed me new techniques for cutting that helped refine and speed up the process of editing the scene, I need to improve on making my cuts more seamless as one of them jumped back in time.

Film Pitch Analysis:

I believe my pitch was strong and projected what i wanted to produce extremely well, In order to produce my pitch I had to use inspirations such as TV shows and movies but also had to use research on certain topics such as budgeting and location.

Also used in my pitch was all of the SWAT codes that we learned in Casey’s lesson, these helped me to outline key features in my pitch and made it easier to convey plot line and story elements in my work.

I believe my pitch could have been improved if I had added slightly more content, i feel like more detail was potentially needed on certain topics such as actors and maybe character bios, these were a little scarce and probably should have been more filled out to present a better image of not only casting but characters that were involved in my story.

I also believe that my pitch could have more images on it, again to make it easier for the viewers to gauge a full understanding of the film and its narrative.
