Here is how I created my final product:
I started by creating a proposal for my project, this document presents my idea and how I planned on executing it (things like shot list/release form are omitted due to not being needed in my project):
Next, I gathered any research I needed and placed it in to a word document, the document consists primarily of links to YouTube videos as that was my primary inspiration:

This was the style I was looking to recreate for my project and it was this video in particular that inspired me to create my project.

Before beginning to grab footage for my documentary I decided to write up my script so that I would have it ready for when it needed to be recorded:
My script was very long and after careful deliberation I decided that my idea needed to be altered slightly and so I created a slightly different idea and wrote up a script immediately :
This script was much shorter and by proxy much easier to manage in the long term, the next task on my list was to record myself reading the script using a program called audacity:
After recording my script I used some of the editing tools in audacity to improve the quality of the recording:
After recording and editing my audio I then started gathering footage from YouTube to use in my documentary, here is an example of a video I used (creator is credited in documentary):
After gathering footage I began importing it in to Adobe Premiere Pro and started to actually put my project together, here are some screenshots of the files in my media bin and also the timeline:
Once my project was fully edited and had been checked over for any mistakes I exported it and created an unlisted YouTube video for ease of access:
