Your project proposal forms a large part of your mark for RESEARCH and PLANNING & PRODUCTION!
Project Proposal and Production Plan Checklist:
- Introduction –introduce yourself and possibly a review of previous projects – strengths and skills, areas for improvement, etc.
- Initial Ideas – different project ideas and why you wan to do them.
- Final Idea Idea – explain your idea and include a video of you explaining it to your peers if possible with a reflecton.
- Presentation Video, Slides and Evaluation
- Proposal Form (include a draft where possible)
- Production Plan
Things to include for your PRESENTATION:
- Why am I doing this project? Strengths skill, influences, previous projects/experience?
- What is my project? Details
- Aim(s) (what) and Objectives (How)
- Target Audience
- Personnel/Resource List – who/what will you need to complete the project
- Collaborations – who will you be working with and what will their role be
- Context – why and how is my project relevant to the music industry?
- Research – What am I going to research and how? Primary/secondary? Books, journals, online, documentaries/video, etc.
- Problem Solving – how will I solve problems and what methods/models will I use?
- Health and Safety – what aspects apply to your project? risk assessments?
- Budgets/Finances
- Staging/sound/lighting design?
- Planning – include a schedule, e.g. rehearsal planning, meetings, resources
- Practical Skills – what practical skills will you need?
- Presentation – how will you present your final product/project? How will you document your work?
- Evaluation and Reflection – how and when will you do this? What models will you use?
- Promotion – what promotional strategy/methods will you employ?
- Additional Planning and Production documents could include:
