hello my name is ashley and this is my Project 2 scrapbook for musical theatre

context

pantomime is a theatre term for when there is singing and dancing in production so I went to see one called Cinderella at the Alhambra the costume design was extravagant and zany, and the script has funny lines and sayings like Behind you and over there so there are many phrases in a pantomime

so the auditions are tomorrow we need to do acting on which is in the morning and the dance and vocal auditions are in the afternoon so they are getting fined and they will be the evidence for the auditions then we move on to the blocking and casting will be

RESEARCH/context continued

snow white and the seven dwarfs is a Disney film the very first part of the plot is when the evil queen looks in a mirror and says “Mirror, mirror on the wall who the fairest of them all” The mirror says snow white so she sends the huntsman to take her heart then the queen turns into a hag and makes a poisonous apple when snow bites the apple she falls asleep and can only be awaken by true loves kiss so the dwarfs will find the prince who kisses her finally the dwarfs chase up her a mountain lighting strikes and the queen falls to her death a boulder falls and vultures circle her fate is left a mystery but one can speculate

week 1 day 1

so this past couple of days I have found out my role and production role I am a dwarf and I am the captain of the sound design team for this project so we started to block Act 1 scene1 to Scene four and we also started do choreograph some of the dances

the videos above are from dance class with Jess we learned the dance and then filmed them

For the past 2 weeks, we have been blocking our show from Act 1 to Act 2 and we finished our blocking today and we sang a few songs and dances associated with the songs we have some set done i think that the blocking went well

the two photos above are of the setting of the chairs and the aims for today we have one week till we perform our piece and we have a week to improve the scene

well the show is done and I need now to film my evaluation film it tomorrow
