Self-Assessment:
Context : Good – I showed a lot of ambition in my work because every time I had been given feedback, I noted it down so I could reference back if I needed to know what else to work on but also so I could do my own research if necessary. I worked both individually and collectively with the group so I could get as much insightful feedback as possible and try to achieve as higher grade as possible.
Research : Excellent – I did a lot of individual research which came in useful for when I needed to evaluate my own work because I’d already seen how to do it. For example, I analysed a lot of different live performances of different genres so when it came to evaluating my own, I knew which features to look for and how affective it would be to a live audience based off how other artists projections got judged. Again, for health and safety, I did a lot of my own research so I could fully understand the importance of risk-assessments and how major their roles are in having a successful live performance. However, I didn’t always include research links which could knock my grade a little.
Practical Skills : Good – To begin with, I struggled a lot so I asked for help and took notes so I could improve individually and then, when we practiced as a band, I work on playing it together with the band. This allowed me to develop each song that I’d struggle with, such as “Clocks” riff. However, I couldn’t hear myself clearly in the live performance so it’s hard to tell if that was a good projection of my skills.
Evaluation And Reflection : Good – Each evaluation was detailed because I did individually assessed my performance and then the bands as a whole. This allowed me to see all aspects of the performance and pick out each improvement to get an almost perfect performance. However, I did lack including a lot of musical terms so I could work on that.
Overall Grade : Good
I confirm that the attached assessment is all my own work and does not include any work completed by anyone other than myself and sources have been appropriately referenced.
