Evaluation:
For this initial assessment, I covered ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran. I have chosen this song because I like how the music sways and how the strings instruments make the swaying sound.
One thing that went well, I think is the quality of the sound because before I have recorded with my iPhone 15 Pro Max, I have added acoustic foam around the keyboard to keep any other sounds outside the room away from the recording.
Another thing I have realised was successful, was the timing of recording each instrument in the keyboard using a metronome. I have kept in tempo and time for every instrument I was recording in the keyboard using the keys. My proffesional arranger the Sx-700, has lots of functions as it is a late 2019 model.
Something I struggled with, is the recording of the instruments used in the song as I have to use the guitars, bass guitars, drums, and strings from the piano and I kept forgetting what each key was which made me make loads of mistakes with recording each instrument.
