guns and roses – welcome to the jungle live 1988

axel was talking and asking questions to the audience before he started the song with is a good way to get the audience involved with the performance and a good way to get them excited

he also showed passion and energy Into the performance by moving around a lot interacting with his band mates in different ways and dancing with them and alone. the guitarist and drummer share a section together playing and holding eye contact with adds to the performance which is also a way to impress the audience

guns and roses have known to have some pretty disastrous performances with a lot of things going wrong but this performance had a lot of the requirements for a good performance

the audience wasn’t passive maybe had a couple hundred people who were all really enjoying the event

I used this tab sheet alot while learning the song. I would play the song with the original playing in the background to make sure I could get it right and make sure all the timings are good.

Nick showed me many different ways to play mercy by Duffy using open chords and barred chords. The chords were g,c.d. he also suggest I make a solo for it using the g minor pentatonic scale.
