The first thing I looked at to do with promotion and branding was business cards its not a bad way to get noticed. I started googling artists business cards and found Paul Wellers 1980s Paul Weller / The Jam Solid Bond business card and honestly I didn’t really like it I thought I could do better than that so I decided to make one for myself. I started looking at c90 cassettes and how the retro looked perfect for a business card.
After I tried looking at other peoples creation with the same idea and I really liked some of them. I saw a few with different colours and different kinds of cassettes I liked the idea of using a c90 look because it just looks the coolest and tried to add the details with the help of paul and it started looking half decent the next photo is evidence.
In this photo I had the main idea sorted nut it looked aa little bit boring I couldn’t think of not to do to make it better and then I thought of cassettes I saw that always has writing in th cover in some thick pen so I wanted to dd my name in the style of the tapes but didn’t have enough time the next photo will show proof.
This is my final product for the cassette business cards I wanted it to have an old hand written look to it. I’m happy with the out come of idea and I’m glad I could take inspiration from other ideas and turn it into something of my own.I used illustrator and photoshop mainly illustrator for the business cards I had some help from Paul as I’m crap with computers but I’m learning every week so hopefully it improves
