Self assessment
Context – Good
The quality of my work on context feels not quite up to scratch, but the quantity seems reasonable. It aided me in some ways to understand things like the history of music distribution in its different forms throughout history, as I can apply that knowledge to my final project.
Research – Excellent
My research into subject specific topics seems in depth and of sizeable quantity. The research I completed allowed me to work efficiently in the studio with very little help and made mixing easier to navigate and understand.
Practical skills – Good
My performance for the recording was fine. It could have been better if we were playing to a click or if I had asked rhythm guitar to re-do his part because I was reliant on his timing and it was inconsistent. Otherwise, I could have listened to it a few times and re-recorded my part until I was satisfied but we were running low on time.
Evaluation & reflection – Good
I feel as though I’ve been consistent in evaluating my work and noting what I could have done better and what I did well. I could have done this more frequently to ensure a higher grade, but I’m not confident that the quantity of evaluation was enough.
