For my initial assessment I chose the song I can’t explain by The Who, I have long enjoyed this song and simply wanted to play it. I think my performance was successful because I hit the notes correctly and didn’t go out of time. However, it wasn’t successful due to the speed of my performance. I could improve my muscle memory by practicing more than I usually do.
Get better at playing
Specific:To improve my guitar skills I will get better with timing, speed and Fluency, The biggest problem I have with playing songs is slow chord progression so it is very important to improve my speed.
Measurable:To know its better I will make sure to record myself often to show improvement over time, making sure to describe what I’m doing in more detail so it is very clear how I improved and comparing it to old recordings of me playing.
Achievable:By recording my progress and skill I will show that I can do it and have done it through my recordings.
Relevant:I believe it is very important to get better at something and really push the limits of my ability, even when a guitar player is considered good I believe they should be always trying to get better at playing, this is something I have always aimed to do and will continue to be as it is relevant to my course.
Time-bound:I will complete my target by the beginning of next year, the reason that I am giving myself that much time is because I will practice often to make sure that I get it right, I believe the more practice I have the better I will be and I hope with that much practice over that much time I will improve much better.

Specific:To improve my evaluation I will put more information about the recordings and will be more descriptive with my work.
Measurable:To know its better I will aim to make paragraphs rather than a few sentences.
Achievable:This will guarantee that my evaluations are more detailed through adding more information rather than a bit of information through sentences.
Relevant:This will guarantee my work will get a better grade through evaluation, by adding more information I will meet the expectation of an in depth and understandable amount of information.
Time-Bound:I will complete my target at the end of the year, the reason I am giving myself that much time is because I want to make sure I have completed my task.
Play more confidently
Specific:To improve my practical skills I think it is important to be confident when playing.
Measurable:To know I have gotten better I will be sure just practice more and more until I am confident with the piece I am playing.
Achievable:This will guarantee that I will improve because the more confident I am the better I will play.
Relevant:This will help me get a better grade for my practical skill, by being more secure with what I play I will come across as more prepared.
Time-Bound:I will make sure to complete this target by the beginning of my next target.
