•What is the piece you have chosen for your initial assessment?
- The piece i chose for my Initial assessment was a self-made song that i wrote and performed myself. I chose this because it shows my songwriting skills aswell as my vocals all in one
•Why did you choose this piece of music?
- It was my most recent project that I Have worked on so i used it as an example of the level that I am at. my vocals in the music piece were also nice to listen to
•What was successful about your performance and why?
- the successful part of my initial assessment was how the flow of the lyrics went well with the beat that i chose
•What wasn’t successful about your performance and why?
- one main flaw in my performance were my vocals on some parts of my song, they sounded a bit off-tune.
•What could you improve in the future and how?
- maybe next time i should stand while performing to help my voice better.
- work on specific notes by practicing singing notes with a piano.
One target that I need to improve on is my use of autotune in my music. This is because I use to much and get rid of my real voice sometimes which causes my voice to sound more like a robot. I will start by lowering autotune to around 30% while singing on-key so my voice sounds as natural as possible.
my next target will be to promote my music to bigger audiences and release more music to my Spotify and other streaming platforms. I will use social media platforms like instagram and Facebook to share my music and gain attention online.
my last target is to learn other instruments such as the drums and the guitar.
