TUESDAY 27 FEB:
In todays session we started with a little activity and had to answer the question ‘What makes a presentation good?’ my answer was showing evidence when making a point is what will improve someones presentation. Moreover during todays lesson I was able to complete some of my presentation of my FMP.
I have been developing ideas for my fmp and selecting my favourite one while making my presentation in the first month out of the 3 months.

I have booked room b13 where sound is recorded with special equipment and I have used my model azan to do the voice too and we took many recordings the script
For the recordings I will have a black silky cloth as a background and the cologne will be on top of it and it will have few accessories and some drops of water on it to give some effects to it and make the cologne look interesting for the audience. I took pictures with my phone to show how the idea will be.

With the help of Paul I have done the logo for the cologne using adobe illustrator. first I downloaded different fonts from a website called “DaFont free” and the fonts used in here is “Yachting” for the top one and the bottom one is “Helyna”. the colour of the font is silver and the background is black and around the sides theres a thin stroke of the same colour of the font.
With the same style I have done some changes to it. First I have thickened the stroke. then I noticed it is a little bit empty so I decided to added another word to the logo name and I chose something short and simple like “elixir” which shows elegancy and luxurious together. the font was changed to “Genova BlackItalic” and I have darkened the grey colour to make it stand out since its smaller. Everything else is remained the same although I have tried other colours for the background and font colours which you will see below. the colours I tried using are: brown, light blue, and maroon. Then for the font was all black.
This new edit I added a dot after “Elixir” and I think it added that touch it needed and I will be using this for my fmp commercial video.
the next shootings will be done this friday. I came up with 2 similar ideas first idea was to have my friend azan to be model and have him spray himself with the product and wearing a simple outfit with a messy hair
this keeps freaking deleting my work and this the last time i will do this. so here I have one of my favourites commercial of the cologne “Gucci guilty” that influenced me and gave plenty of ideas for my own commercial video, which was also the first cologne I thought of using.furthermore the lighting of every shot is way too much than what I want as well as the colours are all over and there is too much movent and a lot going on which I did not like for my fmp. But the few transitions are something that caught my eye and I really liked.
This is another commercial of jean paul Gaultier. I liked this one a lot because it shows a lot of masculinity which is what I am going for. furthermore I really liked how the contrast was dark colours and simple story with a single male character showing his male masculine characteristics in it.
FMP DIVINE ELIXIR:

For my FMP I did a cologne commercial for men called divine elixir. I presented this project in front of my classmates and tutors and most of the feedback I got from everyone was, the project was really good and the most effective part was the ending and the logo added was very professional. furthermore the overall result feedback was 5/5 because of ‘amazing editing perfume, acting and branding’ according to one of my classmates feedback. In my opinion I think This was my best project and the one I like most because of the amount of effort I actually put on this piece of work I am really proud of the outcome and I wouldnt have any changes except something i got told to do which is to use an actual good camera to record instead of my phone because in some recordings you can see how wobbly it is and the quality is not the best. additionally something that bugged me for a while is that I wanted to record somewhere else other than college. but overall I am really happy with this fmp and I would love to repeat this in the future with Azan being my best model. Additionally, there is something I would like to mention is abut the logo that I feel like its missing something but i do not know what, it is simple because it is what I was going for but it looks way too simple and empty, In future projects I will try and focus more in the logo to look more appealing and to my likings. what I enjoyed the most was eveyrything except writing down my steps and what I did throughout the project.
