I was given the following feedback when I presented my podcast to the class:
“The branding works very well and is on brand. Excellent podcast voice and good quality. Your delivery is very professional and works very well. Nice musical interludes. Your research is thorough and it is clear and succinct. Well presented on the big screen. You talk to the listener well and involve them in the talk. Is the title spelt correctly? You explain your own vulnerability to believe them. A good range of conspiracy theories. I like the relaxed chat style, it has humour which helps with the subject.”
If I was to change anything I would make sure I read my script as it is and not improvise in the moment as this ruined points and made me say the wrong title to the podcast. I would also try be more confident when talking as I feel in some sections I sounded a little quiet. Finally, I would make graphics for the video so it would be easier to watch.
In Task One, I first made a mind map of different topics I could discuss. I settled on conspiracy theories as I had the most topics to discuss. I showed my thorough research into two podcasts which were very different but had the same concept. I conducted both primary and secondary research which helped me understand which audience I would be talking to. I then started out designing my logo which had multiple stages of development before I settled on my final logo.
First I researched the 2 different types of microphones: dynamic and condenser. I used a condenser microphone for my podcast as it has much better sound quality and because I wouldn’t be moving around there was no need for a dynamic. I have already recorded many podcasts before, scripts have never worked for me but this time I thought I would give it a go. For the opening jingle, I used apple loops on GarageBand. I used a loop called “Breathless Piano” which gave the intro a spooky vibe, connecting to the theme of conspiracy and supernatural things. Adding this introduction made the podcast as a whole seem more professional. I realised when editing I made a lot of mistakes while speaking, so I cut up the audio to take out the parts where I misspoke. I did this by splitting where I made the mistake, then splitting when I started speaking again and removing the audio in between removing the mistake. I did this throughout the whole editing process. After I finished editing I put the “Narration Vocal” filter on my voice to make it sound more professional. This changed the reverb and ambience among other things which I then edited until I was happy with how it sounded.
I confirm that the attached assessment is all my own work and does not include any work completed by anyone other than myself and sources have been appropriately referenced.

I feel as though I could’ve added more to my design on the posters and the tote bag instead of it being just a logo. I also should’ve explained the context behind each logo design as well, to explain the different parts of the logo so they know what the design means.
In the podcast I said the name of the podcast wrong because I wasn’t reading the script I was just looking at parts and then improvising. I also found myself missing important details when discussing the different . In future I need to read the script exactly so I don’t miss any important details.
The introduction music could be edited to have the title of the podcast as part of it. For example, at the end of the intro music I wanted to add a voice at the end saying “Conspiratheory” which is the title of the podcast.
