Presentation

What was successful?

I thought I explained my intentions and aims really well. Also i included all the slides i needed to and it was straight to the point and brief. I talked about majority of the slides in enough detail while still being clear and understandable.

What was unsuccessful?

I thought my presentation wasn’t really reactive but that was due to it not being my intention. Also apart from the colour scheme visually it wasn’t very exciting to the eye. I could’ve added more detail to some of the slides to catch everything in needed too and also i didn’t have a context slide which i should’ve so i could’ve talked about what i will be including in my context.

How could I improve?

I could put a bit more thought into the presentation so its more enjoyable to watch as well as adding some videos like clips of the songs i’m covering and more photos. Also work on more brief detail thats even more understandable. Most importantly add a context slide and fully explain what i’m going to do and talk about for my context.

Feedback

One piece of feedback I got was, ” Why am I experimenting with artwork but not experimenting with the covers”

This is because in previous projects i haven’t done anything special when it comes to presenting the projects with artwork so this time around i wanted to put more thought and effort into the visual side of things.

A second piece of feedback I got was, ” why am I choosing to do covers over original songs”

Just simply because i wanted to because it was pretty much a 50/50 choice between doing covers or originals and i just choose covers because i did originals last year so i wanted to do something a tiny bit different but with a similar concept.

A third piece of feedback I got was,” why not research a new area to try like synchronisation music instead of doing something similar to last year”

Just because i’ve never heard about this before and its something i don’t know much about so i wanted to put my time into what i’m familiar with and more passionate about and think about something new another day.
