What I chose (Thriller)
I decided to do a thriller which will have some action with it my goal with this is to Define myself as a artist, I wanna give the absolute best of me in the best way possible, so I wanna make a challenge for me, Im gonna try to make the best short film I could have made, in terms of story and dialogues, directing wise and acting wise, the name of the short film is “Johnny the Traitor” which i took from a Bollywood film named the same way but in Hindi “Johnny Gaddaar”, because is the film what kind of inspired me to make this, but the story and characters have nothing to do with each other.
Ideas
I want to make a deep film with characters that are complex and deep, giving it a 70s vibe with some old Bollywood music, i will definitely use a lot of the Bollywood style in this film and cooperate with people from different courses for make up or extras for performing art.
the length of the short film approximately will be like 10 to 15 minutes long, and the budget from 20 to 35 pounds that I”m willing to spend for this project all the money will be invested in the characters, accessories o other things to make them Unique and iconic and have their own style and accessories like rings, necklaces, or glasses, Im trying my best to try to define myself as a artist and get the best of me
Inspiration\ Bollywood style
Johnny Gaddaar (transl. Johnny the Traitor) is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language neo-noir thriller film written and directed by Sriram Raghavan, produced under the banner Adlabs. It stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, in his film debut, alongside Dharmendra, Zakir Hussain, Rimi Sen, Vinay Pathak, Govind Namdeo, Dayanand Shetty and Ashwini Kalsekar. The film received critical acclaim[3][4] and was a sleeper hit at the box-office.[5]
The film was later identified as an uncredited adaptation of the 1962 French novel Les Mystifies by Alain Reynaud Fourton, which was first adapted into a 1963 French film Symphonie Pour Un Massacre (The Corrupt) by Jacques Deray.[6] In 2018, Raghavan confessed to having read the novel while he was working at ISRO on public safety announcement films.[7] The film was later remade in Malayalam as Unnam, in Telugu as Kamina and in Tamil as Johnny.[8]

I think I could have done a lot more for my presentation and be able to deliver it in a more organised way, I think i was over confident about it which made me not prepare enough for the presentation, but it think i did enough and managed to talk about what my actual project is going to be about and what I’m intending to do with it,

Target audience
My target audience is all type of people, because is a short film that is for all people that are 16 or above, and are interested in cinema, the film is a thriller that will be have some 60s 70s vibes and style, it had deep and complex characters that use strong words and talk about sensible topics, contain blood and deadly wounds on some characters so i think it would be rated around PG16
Risk assessment
The place Im going to be recording will be at college, so I think that would be a very safe place to record, and there would be no risk of the equipment being in danger of being theft or anything like that, I will be recording with someone that is doing a media course but for University, he would be the cameraperson so the equipment will be safe and with someone that has the experience and skills to manage to use it without cousin any damage to any object,
we will be recording in a room that doesn’t have any major hazards to record and perform, but i will make sure theres not any hazards and have the right and responsible people within the room, I did record a test shot to check for any problems but its all safe
Script idea
Johnny slowly recovers his conscious after being knockdown he’s sitting in a chair in a dark room with a gun pointing at his head, Johnny has bruises and blood on his face a cut on his nose a bruise on his left eye, and blood dripping from his mouth and nose, he looks around him with a lot of confusion and fear, after a few seconds he gets to realise where he is and look ahead to see his twin brother staring at him with a gun in his hand

“and we meet again, eh Johnny?… It took me some time to understand this” says mack while pointing a gun at johnny and doubting of killing him

Johnny laughs at him while he’s still trying to recover “If you want to kill me, do it, cuz you ain’t getting anything from me” says Johnny with anger and a mocking smile to Mac
Mac Moonlight
“Oh trust me, I’ve tried many times, Its like a paradox, I want to kill you but each time I fail” says Mac while he’s slowly putting his gun down and smiling, with mixed emotions of hate fear

Johnny laugh when he repeats the word “paradox, eh?”
Mac Moonlight
“Okay listen Brother” Mac puts the gun on the table, and struggles to ask for help to Johnny ” I- I need your- help Johnny” says mac desperate an stressed
Johnny
Johnny looks at him very confused and suspicious ” The Only thing you need is a bullet though your head, I don’t know what you’r trying, or what you’re intending to do, but its not gonna work with me, you point a gun to my head and them ask me for help?” says Johnny angrily
Mac Moonlight
Mac stands up and looks at Johnny
“Didn’t we had this conversation before, Im not trying anything. this is very complicated, Johnny… there is things I can’t forget and things I can’t forgive you for, but Im trying, trying my best” Mac says, while Johnny is trying to reach the gun that s pointing at him very surreptitiously, mac notice that and puts his hand on his gun, sending a massage to Johnny
Johnny
“Trying your best for what? In all your miserable life you didn’t do anything good for anyone, your a selfish piece of shit”
Mac Moonlight
“Im not a villain Johnny, don’t treat me like one, I’m the Devil” says Mac while smiling
Johnny
“You tried to kill everyone I ever loved…if you.. let me live another day, there will be no one that can save you from me ” says johnny angrily and with a lot of intensity in his eyes
Mac
“I was trying to just help you… I should have just let you rot in the streets, brother, I shouldn’t even call you brother, because a brother wouldn’t stab his brother on his back, right?… you’re not a Moonlight, you’re no family of mine, this could have been so different if you didn’t betray me you rat” says Mac angrily
Johnny
were you protecting me? or just using me for your own benefit? yeah I betrayed you and if had the chance I would betray you again.
Mac Moonlight
Mac starts to think and reflect about what to do next, he want to Johnny to help him and sort their problems but at the same time he cant move on from their personal problems, Mac proceeds to grabs his gun, unloads it and leaves it on the table, ” If I wanted to kill you would be long gone, just have in mind that I killed you before”
Johnny
Johnny looks very confused towards Mac trying to understand him ” you don’t have the guts to kill me’
Mac Moonlight
Mac stays in a deep silence trying think a way out from this situation “I’m not sure whats going to happen if I kill you, but I’m not afraid to face it”
Johnny
Johnny calms himself and sees his surroundings to see a way out, so he decides to manipulate Mac…” maybe I should try to listen to you, maybe we should try to fix this problems we have, brother”
Mac Moonlight
Mac being suspicious on Johnny, he gets close to Johnny ” if you try anything funny, I will make sure my maids give you a nice treatment like before”

Mac gets stressed and takes a deep breath ‘Its a long story you see, “I don’t really know how to explain this, I got no idea how to say it without sounding like a crazy man, I don”t know whats going on or-

Johnny sees a opportunity to snatch the gun out of the person that is pointing at him with it, when he sees his brother distracted trying to explain him self,
the camera focusses on Johnny’s faces trying to show his intentions, Johnny snatches the gun from the maid and elbows him to knock him out, and points the gun at mac before he can react
” You were right about one thing, Im not a moonlight, Im more of a Traitor…Johnny The Traitor” johnny pulls the trigger to kill Mac but notices the gun has no bullets

“I saw you(johnny pulls the trigger) coming miles a way(johnny pulls the trigger) Johnny,…” Johnny looks at him scared and confused. Mac picks his gun and points at Johnny

“I probably wont remember this, but thats your problem now”

Johnny wakes up back at the beginning of their conversations but his wounds are different now, he has blood coming from his head where Mac Shot him, Johnny realises about what Mac asking for help and gets scared and starts to breath heavily and has fear in his eyes he stammers and and struggles to speak

These are the different type of clothing styles i want to use for my short film, they all are based on the 60 70s of Bollywood and have some mafia type of vibes which is what I’m intending to do for my characters to give them this style and vibes, i did try a suit and its what I’m deciding to use for my short film
