I printed images out according to my theme and created dress wear as you can, although it was fun to do but it’s not my thing to again i guess. i could probably do again but without the hat as it puts me off.

i first drew my design to print on acetate a black marker, but you would need over lay as dark as it can be because you want clear screen board rather than messed up one. This is the reason because i did mine in marker and still wasn’t as dark at it should be because some areas were still light especially i transfer on to the screen certain part weren’t as clear, you can use paint or. paint makers or something that is dark but needs to be black though. firstly, the screen needs to perfect size for your work then your screen needs to be in light sensitive photographic emulsion. secondly, you would need to place your acetate with the coated screen in the exposure unit, once you have exposed your screen you need to wash it down to remove the areas that you are wanting to print. The screen will look like the acetate but with emulsion on and the black drawing you have made will be where the paint goes through and the prints will be, you need remember to use brown tape for edges and any holes you can see as you don’t want the paint to go through there. As you can see my prints fabrics the came good and bottom right corner is a different 3 pieces which i had printed and sewed after, the only thing i would say is that i should have really ironed fabrics then sewed it the in my sketchbook.

I first to create this water colours and painted my theme ‘SPACE,’ then turned it around as it is shown in the pictures, this is called a morbius. i wouldn’t mind doing this again, probably will do more than one but in different materials and drawings.

the first picture at the top is the plastic, which i used for etching by using needle type to scratch my drawing by tracing on it. the got paint and rubbed into the scratches ten place on the printer place the printer and the paper on top of each other then roll it over and you can see the results that i’ve photographed. the one in black. came out nice with bits darker and lighter, the the blue one that has a more heavier colour i even printed on it agin without adding more paint on and lastly rubbed bits off. In my opinion, i prefer the black one as it, i had planned to use this printing as my final piece.
letter press another printing technique that i did with technician, this red one in my name was a practice one which came really good for a first time. i chose press letters for my final piece with the word ‘INFINITY,’ as you you can see my work i doubled the letters and printed on one i used the same paint and out it turned came out light. on two of the prints i forgot i letter when i realised i corrected it, it was very easy to do and would do again by adding like quotes etc.

at first i thought to print with nut and unfortunately it didn’t work out as i expected, but the digital was more intriguing by the way i did first i tried erase the background as much as possible then repeated the nuts and formed them like this. lastly i used curves and exposure etc, by experimenting to reach to this although there was part where couldn’t erase at would erase all of it so i left i guess next time i could try picture it in a different way.

my idea for my final piece of the astronaut came from the concept ‘SPACE,’ i had drawn this on A2 size paper first, then talked with the technician about this and how i would do it. originally i wanted to print by etching, however the problem was sizing because the biggest was A4 and i wanted to do A2. although i could do it, would mean i would be able to scratch on it but the hard part would be printing as i would have to separately in the place them as well. another way was doing on a metal sheet but it would have been hard for me transfer the drawing on to the metals sheet, so i decided to do screen printing and trace my drawing onto two A3 acetate sheets in black paint marker instead of a sharpie as i would need to to go over the layers of the drawing to get bold lines otherwise my screen wont come out as good so will the print. i gave technician my acetate and he transferred the drawing to screen, which was covered in light sensitive photographic emulsion. the next day the screen was ready for printing, using the screen prints beds to print on A2 paper, the technician helped as it was my first time using this. i first lined up my screen then using A1 paper to line up my work, the technician helped me to print two-three prints until i get the hang of it and kept printing. til i noticed a faint line in between on the screen from the prints, so i put brown tape on the screen where the lines were as it was two pieces of acetate. in the end i managed to get a couple perfect ones. i then photographed them and went on photoshop and created theses first first five ones without overlaying on them, by using curves, levels, exposure etc, the the idea to over lay the red and purple on came out ok til i used invert to change it to the last outcome which was far better as it looked more ‘SPACE’ theme than before. my final piece is A1 at first it was A2 then A0, unfortunately i could only print to A1 which was fine to as i was expecting this already. i also wanted to use the letters that i had printed out with the letter press but i had already things going on in my artwork it would have been too much, i also asked my peer next to me for her opinion she said the same thing as well. overall, through the process of my final piece, i was able to think and solve solutions to which works out best for me. to me i think project has been good experience as i guess it more independent really as i worked through this project by conveying if i needed help and solutions and what i wanted to use like letter press. in conclusion, this has been a better experience in this project as a whole.
