Temporal Distortion 3

On week 3 of my composition, I began composing for section B. However, I did realise how short section A was so I doubled up section A before I started section B. For section B, I used a lot of different piano techniques to “jazz” it up.

To begin with, I had piano, violin 1 and cello come in all at the same time to add to dynamics and create more emphasis and clearly separate it from section A. I also created a more advanced piano lead for section B so that it created more of a harmony so I could use the other instruments to create harmony.

I used different techniques to build up this section by adding different patterns in the other instruments, such as using arpeggios over the top of the piano piece. I used arpeggios with octaves to create more emotion, all whilst the piano piece kept going to with hold the same emotional standard.

Towards the end, I gradually started fading the instruments out until it was just the piano. I began the outro but I didn’t finish. I started playing different arpeggio scales and octaves in different instruments for the outro but I might change that for next Monday.

I just need to create an outro and intro, then add in some string articulations and a tempo name (like Roberto) before exporting it to logic and syncing it to the video.
