Bradford College – BA (Hons) top-up music for the creative industries
I think that this course will help me to achieve my future career because there are modules that I believe to be of utmost importance in my progression. These are; the Freelance Working and Self-Employment in the Creative Industries module because as an event manager, I will most likely be working freelance rather than for a specific company or employer. It will allow me to further understand what it means to be a freelancer and how to be successful in doing so. Similarly, the Independent Project will yet again allow me to put on my own event and put into practice my skills in my field.

This course is related completely to Event Management and Music Business, which would be ideal for my future study. However, this is a 3-year course covering many aspects of the industry starting back at level 4. As I have already received a level 4 qualification and am coming to the end of my level 5 it may be unwise to retake these years. Additionally, the course is located in London. This is far away and will therefore be more costly for me to study there. I also will not know the equipment, department, or people as well as I know them at Bradford College.
