Name, Date, And Location<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coming up with a name for the gig was one of the first thing we aimed to do, we felt having a strong name would give a good base to decide the next steps. However, this came with more challenges than we first thought. When the breif was first given we where not taking it as serious as we should have been so we pitched names that would not have been suitable for our primary demographic and the context of our gig. Some Examples of names we brainstormed where:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cock-Rot Cabaret (inapropriate and grotesce for younger atendees aswell as not matching the theme)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gutter Sluts (inapropriate and grotesce for younger atendees aswell as not matching the theme)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Birth (doesent match the theme)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Begining (doesent match the theme, too neiche for target demographic)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heroween (drug refferances some atendees may find offencive)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After weeks of brainstorming we realised we needed a short memorable name that really gives the message we want to in a profecinal tone. Thats when we came up with the name P.U.M.K.I.N<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

P.U.M.K.I.N Is a good name because it is, short, memorable, and reflects the events theme and vibe, i realised how important this was when reserching famous gigs . It was such a relief to have come up with a suitable name as this ment we could really start focusing on our other ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theme And Concept:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After finding out the event was to be held in october i felt the obious choice was to theme it as an upcomming popular holiday- Halloween. The possotives of this is that it will not only get the audiance into a festive spirit but it feels like there comming for something more than just the standard college. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To do this i have got in touch with the owner of the resteraunt i work at and asked to borrow the decorations. This works well because the gig is held on tuesday and the open hours of the resteraunt means its clossed on monday and tuesday. i have also planned to go to the shops to buy some decorations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The benafits of decorating the venue are a marketing and attendance boost, a themed event can give a stonger marketing hook, it brings in a wider demographic of people looking to celebrate the holiday. turning a regular event into a themed event can make it feel like a unoque night out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When organising the gig one of our main focuses was to discuss our main objective to aim for in this gig. we decided to link this with the theme of haloween, to increse festive spirit. I looked at previous college gigs we did where the audiance where satdown and it felt as if they where not participating as mutch and others when they where stood up. So giving a a theme and making it a standing gig would hypotheticly give the event a mutch more relaxed and exiting vibe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

the other main object was to showcase the tallent we have at bradford college music department. This is to be made clear by everyone participating, and supporting everyones abilitys. I will also adress the audiance to thank everyone who helleped put everything together inculding all the students who are brave enough to preform. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Target Audience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being a college gig, our target audiance is almost entireley freinds and family of the preformers. This comes with its challanges as we have to cater for a varied spectrum of atendees. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
