This page will document the development off my performance skills throughout the project. I will upload videos of me performing both original song drafts and covers, and write about how i can improve my songwriting, guitar playing, and vocal performance. These practice sessions will help me refine my musical skills before i start recording them into a DAW. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was exploring with chords and strumming patterns for a verse and a chorus. The main aim of writing this section was to add wider emotional dynamics to a song witch i was finding quite flat and unchanging, so decided i needed to venture from the finger picking and add an upbeat strumming section. The dynamics and amplitude are also louder so this helps with what im trying to achieve. The video shows my process off finding a melody that i liked for both vocals and instruments. I am very happy with the fingerpicking style and can see a lot of potential in this for my final product. After exploring with some melody’s i like the idea off adding the original whistled melody in as violin section, i feel like it would add a rich layer, that will emotionally benefit story telling and emotional depth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Song Covers:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n My aim in playing these songs was to help develop my songwriting, arrangement and performance techniques.
