Song1. One of the songs I have chosen as part of the Mercury Prize is the performance by the ARCTIC MONKEYS There Better Be A Mirror Ball. The reason for this performance is because of a few reasons. The first reason is because of how much their music genre has expanded into a wide range of classical , rock , pop ,and jazz. From there early days as a raw indie band to now a mainstream band with a tight backing band and new harmonies taking much inspiration from Queen.
Song2. Then ext song i chose is Jockstrap concrete over water. The reason i choose this song is because of the unusual stage presence she carries. The song lyrics are also intriguing as you can see that when she is singing the lyrics is not just coming from her throat its coming from her soul.
Song3. The next song I chose was RAYE, The Thrill Is Gone. One of the reasons for this performance is due to the fact her extremely powerful voice carries out across the audience and its nearly like you can feel it through your chest. Her stage presence is also electrifying how looks at the crowd like she is singing it directly to you making you feel apart of the performance.
