2nd October – 8th October 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week in dance with Jess we worked on our \u2018when I grow up\u2019 dance to make sure we all knew it and we added in our group dances to time it all correctly and to make sure we all know when to be on and off stage throughout the dance, we then added the playground scene to the end of the dance to finish it off. We also learned which order we are going to perform all the pieces in.

First is the soundscape of rain, then it\u2019s the \u2018i am worried\u2026, Dear child of the future\u2026 and facts\u2019. The first dance comes after that and then it\u2019s the chair pieces, the phone pieces and then back to the chair pieces and to finish it off we have the \u2018when I grow up\u2019 dance. We practiced this order over and over again until we all knew it and we worked out how we were going to come on and off stage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Sarah In Acting we worked on the first section of the performance until it was perfect which was the soundscape to the end of our facts. We then started working on a movement about social media and how it affects us. We put ourselves into groups and my group made it about one person chocking on a piece of food and struggling to breathe while her friends are distracted by social media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I feel a lot more confident in knowing the dances and knowing my lines. I have achieved this by practicing in class and at home. At home I have watched the dances then practiced them and I have used the look, cover, see method to learn my lines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was challenging to remember the order of the performance but i will over come this by going through it at home and going through it in my head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have used my research to understand what we\u2019re performing about, to understand what my lines are saying and to know how to act them out and to write my lines because If I didn\u2019t do the research I wouldn\u2019t have understood what we were actually doing, it would have made the course work harder as well as the class work and I wouldn\u2019t have been able to write my speaking parts. Because I\u2019ve done my research it has made me able to do everything I need to do.
