Something will disappear. climate crisis film- Almedia Theatre.
I like the soundscapes they used, the emotion they used. I liked the way they they used a wide age range, to me this symbolised that it effects everyone of all ages and that it has been going on for many years. I liked the background music and the way they’re using their tones of voice draws you in. I would put a bit of movement rather than the camera being in in their faces all the time, feels like they’re just telling a story. And i’m not too sure as to why they’re cutting each others sentences off. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Staging & Set Design- I think black box would be good for this as we only have limited time and we are mainly getting a climate change and sustainability message out in this performance so personally i think there’s no reason to have a big set design going on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lighting- I think a spotlight could flash on each person talking and when we all start talking over each other during ‘dear future child’ the light could be flashing on and off and as soon as everyone stops talking it shuts off completely. This could make it look lightning like which relates to the project we are doing. Although if you couldn’t use flashing lights it would look good with just the spotlights on while everyone talks and then just for them to fade off and the end of the scene to help everyone get into their new places. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sound Design- For the sound i think a wind or rain could be on low in the background and as soon as we’ve finished dear future child we could shut it off at the same time that we all stop. i also think the soundscapes we’ve been practicing would work very well in the piece too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Costume & props- For costume i think we could wear all black and moveable clothes, for example leggings, joggers, tops, leotards, jackets and moveable shoes. For props we could use torches and kids toys, The torches could represent energy recourses and how people need to start saving their energy and the toys could represent the children of the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

marketing- We could make posters for the show or make social media posts. you would have to put time and dates in them, what its about, title of the show, price of the tickets and warnings for example “flash warning”. Social media would be a useful way of marketing as too many people use it way too often and the word will get out to way more people. You could charge \u00a32-\u00a35 for the tickets and that money could go toward a charity. You could also make tickets and advertise them through social media or even advertise them in person by giving people flyers of information about the performance and a website link where they can buy the tickets.

Risk assessment- A Risk assessment is when you say what hazards could happen, the risk to that hazard, how you control this hazard and what action can be taken.
People falling off stage, you can control this by making sure the performers are well practiced, carefully rehearsed and know the stage well enough. The action to be taken is to make sure the stage manager lets everyone know if the floor is slippery or has had water spilled on it and for the performers to examine the stage before performances. The lights falling, lights could hit someone and with their weight could possibly kill someone, lighting team need to make sure all lights bolts are screwed in properly and that all the lights are secured correctly. Electrical cables, people could fall over them, make sure they\u2019re fixed by cable ties and taped to the floor or to the lighting stands, check the layout of the wires. Food and drink could cause slips and falls, make sure to eat outside the stage setting and don\u2019t bring in open drinks such as cans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entrances, Exits, Cue\u2019s and Choreography- This is usually where everyone comes together like the production team, cast and crew. Everyone will come together and make sure they\u2019ve got all the cue\u2019s, for example when there\u2019s a lighting change, when sounds\/ music come on and off, when props will be ready for actors to take on stage.
They can get cue\u2019s from a cue sheet which is a sheet of information usually given by the stage manager that has all of the information about the cue including timing, sequence, light intensity, or volume but they are usually given it through a headset by the stage manager, where the stage manager will either say \u201cwarning\u201d which gives them about a minute to sort out what they have to do then \u201cstand by\u201d which is giving them a few seconds before the cue and \u201cGo\u201d which is given at the moment of the cue. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
