Dear casting director.
My name is Tyler Hamlin and I will be auditioning for Smee, Wendy, Peter Pan or Micheal. I am interested in these characters because I want to push myself to be able to sing in front of people wether it’s a few lines or a song and then gradually more people until we perform and then In front of an audience.
I have a bit of experience from colleges from our FMP’s. I have done Bad Girls where I played Shell Dockley. Blood brothers where I played Micky and Hansel and Gretel where I played Hansel.
Although I have the basic skills like team work, communication, confidence, memorisation. Something they I have that sets me apart from others is my confidence although it’s a skill that most people have, for me it means that no matter what happens on stage I always find a way to work around it, if someone messes up and forgets their line I can improvise for them by asking them a question based on their next line, if I am nervous and my voice is shaking because of it I just act like it’s not and keep going, if I mess up a dance I just pick up from where I’ve messed up and keep going like nothing happened.
I can’t wait for this project as the FMP has always been my favourite project to work on I can’t wait to see what level 3 extended has come up with. I am so excited to audition and be a part of this production no matter what character I get casted as wether I am an ensemble member, small role or main role either way it’s going to be amazing.
