My idea is to make a social media advert to advertise some sweets. I plan on using Zachery as my actor.
I want the person to be in happy mood whilst chewing on the sweet for after I take a shot of him chewing the sweet, he will make a smiling facial expression and pull his thumbs up.
Inspiration
The inspiration for my idea of doing a soical media advert to advertise some sweets comes from looking at adverts that advertise the same topic, like Skittles, Rowntree’s Randoms, Snickers and more.

I will research different social media adverts that advertise sweets for some inspiration.
Snickers commercial
The Snickers advert shows Mr Bean trying to keep up with some Samurai’s and attempting to jump towards a roof but falls down which leads to one of the Samurai’s giving Mr Bean a Snickers bar in which he eats the bar turning into a Samurai. The advert is quite fast paced with lots of action and is shot in different camera angles.
The age group for Mr Bean would be for young children and also adults who grew up in the 19’s watching the Mr Bean tv show.
The target audience for Snickers is aimed towards everyone that likes chocolate however it is possible that most people that probably buy Snickers are adolescents and children because they are the age group that like chocolate the most.
However in survey 10.6 percent of respondents aged 18 to 34 stated their preferred brand is Snickers.

Rowntree’s Random’s commercial
The target audience for Rowntree’s Randoms would probably be for children who are 6-11 years old for I have researched what age group consumes the most sweets and it says that 6-11 year old children consume the most sweets. I have got this information from www.Healthyfoodamerica.org.
In the Rowntree’s Randoms advert , the camera zooms towards the different packaging of the product and shows the actual sweets unpacked. The advert looks like it has been filmed on a green screen.
I feel that these two social media adverts link in with the idea of my social media advert for the Snickers advert shows Mr Bean taking a bite out of a Snickers bar which I plan on doing something similar by having the person taste the product.
The Rowntree’s Randoms Sweet advert zooms into the actual product itself, which I plan doing for my social media advert.
Facebook has been the most popular social media platform for ads for there are less disruptive.

Red Bull commercial
From this video I have learnt that some social media adverts don’t directly show the product but use exaggeration to make viewer interested in the product like how one of Red Bull’s adverts shows a man drinking a can of red bull which makes him get wings and fly. This is meant to show the viewer that Red Bull is an energy drink and will make you have energy.
Red Bull has been quite controversial when it comes to advertisement for there was a poster seen on September 11th which had ”two cartoon women in front of can of Red Bull and a poem alluding to finishing office tasks quickly and the catchphrase” ”Red Bull gives you wiings”. There was also someone who tried to sue Red Bull for a social media advert that implied that Red Bull would give the person who drank it wings.

I am planning to release the trailer on Youtube for I feel that I am more familiar on how to use it and it is my preferred social media platform to upload videos.
The product that I am going to use for my advert is Snickers for the inspiration to use Snickers comes from the slogan that Snickers use for there social media adverts which is, ”You are not you when you’re hungry”.
The number one, most popular trend on Youtube is music videos and music related content.
Reception Theory.
Reception Theory is when media products like films, books and tv shows have a message for the viewer.
The message that this social media advert is trying to give is that you can’t win unless you commit and motivate yourself to do so. The social media advert shows flashbacks of the person practising karate and her narrating about her losses and her wanting to win.
The message that this social media advert is trying to give is that anything is possible in life as long as you try and commit to the process. This social media advert shows the person imaging what sports activities she would do like rock climbing, gymnastics, swimming and sky gliding.

The message that I want to give to the viewer is that if you eat Snickers, you will get energy.
