The local community centre I’m choosing to do is boom (canal side Leeds). The reason im choosing to do this one is because I play hardcore and boom is the perfect venue to play it to the right audience\/community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Boom was first established in 2011 and quickly turned into a staple for heavy music and building a big hardcore and punk community. They are a DIY, inclusive space focused on supporting emerging and established artists. The facilities that they offer are gig rooms, rehearsal spaces, recording studio, bar, and community facilities. They also care about accessibility with having a dedicated spot next to the stage for wheelchairs and also have disabled toilets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If I could set up an event at boom I would choose to do a pay as you feel charity gig to raise money and awareness for Palestine. This would make it so we can raise money and awareness for Palestine as well as if anyone is lacking funds they will still be able to come and enjoy the show and show their support. If I could choose any band to do this with it would be Torture since they are a perfect example of a band doing there best to show awareness for Palestine , as well it being a band that a lot of people in the scene would love to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
