Throughout this project we will look at topics covering the broad topic of “community music” we will look at local venues such as Darley street market. Community music is great for getting people together at an event and for people to just have fun , both the performers and the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We ended up playing at the Darley street market and made it an acoustic gig. This allows people to continue there shopping or come sit down and watch us without it being too loud. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be playing the market since it was really just old people who were shopping and stopped to watch us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
community music is a inclusive and collaborative approach to making music that focuses on bringing people together and making people feel included regardless of musical experience. It welcomes all people and the focus is on the act of making music together , it aims to improve mental well being build confidence and strengthen community bonds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During this project we had to start thinking about the gig as its for the audience so we were thinking of songs that everyone will know and will enjoy. The difference between community music and a brink gig is in the intent , with community music focusing on participation inclusivity and social impact where as normal fits are focused on performance entertainment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
