Californaction
Californication is the seventh studio album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, released on June 8, 1999, on Warner Bros. Records. It was produced by Rick Rubin. Along with Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Californication is one of the band’s best-selling albums.
It took Frusciante several weeks to readjust to playing with bandmates, especially while recovering from drug addiction.Singer Anthony Kiedis noted that as a result of this readjustment period, Frusciante adopted a minimalist approach to guitar playing. According to biographer Jeff Apter, the Red Hot Chili Peppers wrote between 30 and 40 songs for the album, which would eventually get distilled to 15 for the release. The band members took on a laid-back approach to writing music. As Kiedis said: “Everyone was having fun. It was as if we had nothing to lose, nothing to gain. We didn’t care; we were making music for the sake of making music
BASS

LYRICS
Psychic spies from China try to steal your mind’s elation
And little girls from Sweden dream of silver screen quotation
And if you want these kind of dreams it’s Californication
It’s the edge of the world and all of Western civilization
The sun may rise in the East, at least it settled in a final location
It’s understood that Hollywood sells Californication
Pay your surgeon very well to break the spell of aging
Celebrity skin, is this your chin, or is that war you’re waging?
First born unicorn

Dream of Californication

Dream of Californication
Marry me, girl, be my fairy to the world, be my very own constellation
A teenage bride with a baby inside getting high on information
And buy me a star on the boulevard, it’s Californication
Space may be the final frontier, but it’s made in a Hollywood basement
And Cobain, can you hear the spheres singing songs off Station To Station?
And Alderaan’s not far away, it’s Californication
Born and raised by those who praise control of population
Well, everybody’s been there and I don’t mean on vacation

Destruction leads to a very rough road, but it also breeds creation
And earthquakes are to a girl’s guitar, they’re just another good vibration
And tidal waves couldn’t save the world from Californication
Pay your surgeon very well to break the spell of aging
Sicker than the rest, there is no test, but this is what you’re craving

GUITAR
Californication” is defined by
John Frusciante’s iconic intro riff, which uses arpeggio picking over an Am-F chord progression, creating a flowing, cascading effect.
Chord Progression: The riff is built on a simple, repeating one-bar progression of A minor (Am) followed by one bar of F major.
CHESLEA DAGGER
Chelsea Dagger” is a song by Scottish rock band the Fratellis. It was released as the second single from their debut studio album, Costello Music (2006), on 28 August 2006. It is named after Jon Fratelli’s wife Heather, a burlesque dancer whose stage name is a play on Britney Spears. Fratelli described the tune as “a rock ‘n’ roll gig in an old speakeasy or something like that.
In the Gurdian they talk on how Jon Fratellis wife chose chelsea dagger as her stage name as a play on britney spears. She was getting ready to perform at club noir in Glasgow which was the world’s biggest burlesque club night.
Tony Hoffer, producer
The guardian also talks about the producer and his thoughts. “There was something cool happening with the Fratellis and I wanted to be part of it. But my first call with Jon was awkward. He asked who I’d been working with, then told me: “That band sucks!” We got into an argument and I thought: “Fuck these guys.” I was really pissed. But it was just their Glaswegian sense of humour. It hits you like a brick wall.”

Lyrics
Well, you must be a girl with shoes like that
She said, you know me well
I seen you and little Steven and Joanna
Round the back of my hotel
Oh yeah
Someone said you was asking after me
But I know you best as a blagger
I said, tell me your name is it sweet?
She said, my boy it′s dagger, oh yeah
chorus
I was good she was hot
Stealin’ everything she got
I was bold she was over the worst of it
Gave me gear, thank you dear, bring yer sister over here
Let her dance with me just for the hell of it
verse
Well you must be a boy with bones like that
She said you got me wrong
I would′ve sold them to you
If I could’ve just have kept the last of my clothes on
Oh yeah
Call me up take me down with you when you go
I could be your regular belle
And I’ll dance for little Steven and Joanna
′Round the back of my hotel, oh yeah
chorus
I was good, she was hot
Stealin′ everything she got
I was bold she was over the worst of it
Gave me gear thank you dear bring yer sister over here
Let her dance with me just for the hell of it
verse
Chelsea Chelsea I believe that when you’re dancing
Slowly sucking your sleeve
The boys get lonely after you leave
It′s one for the Dagger and another for the one you believe
Chelsea I believe that when you’re dancing
Slowly sucking your sleeve
The boys get lonely after you leave
It′s one for the Dagger, another for the one you believe

DAY TRIPPER
Day Tripper is a song by the English rock band the Beatles that was released as a double A-side single with “We Can Work It Out” in December 1965. The song was written primarily by John Lennon with some contributions from Paul McCartney and was credited to the Lennon–McCartney partnership. Both songs were recorded during the sessions for the band’s Rubber Soul album. The single topped charts in Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands and Norway. In the United States, “Day Tripper” peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and “We Can Work It Out” held the top position.
Lennon described Day Tripper as a “drug song” in 1970, and in a 2004 interview McCartney said it was “about acid” (LSD). The song title is a play on words referring to both a tourist on a day-trip and a “trip” in the sense of a psychedelic experience.
Day Tripper” is a rock song based around an electric guitar riff and drawing on the influence of American soul music. The Beatles included it in their concert set-list until their retirement from live performances in late August 1966. The band’s use of promotional films to market the single anticipated the modern music video.

Lyrics
Got a good reason
For taking the easy way out
Got a good reason
For taking the easy way out now
She was a day tripper
A one way ticket, yeah
It took me so long to find out
And I found out
She’s a big teaser
She took me half the way there
She’s a big teaser
She took me half the way there, now
She was a day tripper
One way ticket, yeah
It took me so long to find out
And I found out
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
Tried to please her
She only played one night stands
Tried to please her
She only played one night stands, now
She was a day tripper
Sunday driver, yeah
It took me so long to find out
And I found out
Day tripper, yeah
Day tripper, yeah
Day tripper
Day tripper, yeah
Day tripper
