Chelsea dagger
I messed up a few times very noticeable in the fills and this was before we split but the singers to make it sound better. I also messed up the ride section of the song. I also need to get the bridge right with hi hat snare rhythm.
Californaction
This was also before we split the singers parts up. I started to add more dynamics to the verses now with playing louder and opening hi hat. I could’ve done better with the dynamics and made the ghost notes sound tighter. I think I sometimes mess up the tempo of the chorus and sometimes come in at the wrong time. I messed up when the extended group came in because I just stopped focusing , I could’ve come back in earlier too. We also missed a verse but went with it.

1st song Timing I messed up a few times the dynamics were okay could’ve been better. I think the main thing I need to improve for the song is coming in all the time perfectly after stops.
2nd song Idk what it is I don’t like the sound of the chorus , I still messed up the fills a bit but some of the fills were better. The bridge , I think I slow down on the hi hat section and the double snare threw off my timing.
Timing need improving theres mistakes like me coming in at the wrong time , I accidentally increased the tempo while changing some sections.
Dynamics are decent i started adding more to the verse with the gradual hi hat opening before the fill to the pre chorus.
We couldve been more efficient with time we had in the practice room by not messing around as much and actually focus on learning these songs , and actually practice the parts we need to instead of just playing through the songs.
Chelsea idk why just sounds bad overall in this the timing i need to improve and i need to learn the fills better and get it tighter with the guitar and other sections where the tempo changes.
dynamics are pretty boring could be improved a lot
The bridge floor tomb section to the ride section needs to a lot tighter on my half.
1 What did you plan to achieve in this rehearsal?1. What did you plan to achieve in this rehearsal?
Improve my timing on my beats fills and improve the dynamics.
2. What actually happened?
I focused more on my timing than I did dynamics this made me forget sections such as opening hi hat at the end of a verse.
3. What went well?
we focused a lot on making the vocals better instead of it sounding messy which I think improved the overall sound of the songs more than anything.
4. What challenges or problems did you face?
nothing was a problem except when I thought there was another bit on the chorus. And timing could be tighter with better dynamics too.
5. How did you try to solve these problems?
I just remembered there wasn’t another chorus and started focusing on the timing and dynamics as much as I can.
6. What did you learn from this rehearsal?
We mainly just getting our song tighter and more in time.
7. What will you do differently or focus on next time?
Practice our other songs more to get them more ready for the performance
Todays band rehearsal went good we practiced all the songs mainly Chelsea and day tripper. The recordings of today I messed up a few sections. Day tripper is becoming more tight and the tempo staying accurate. Evan helped Oliver with the tambourine so it sounds better instead of sounding like it’s only doing half of a what its supposed to.
1. What did you plan to achieve in this rehearsal?
We planned to practice our songs and try get them ready for the performance mainly Chelsea dagger and day tripper. We spent a lot of the time focusing on sections of Chelsea such as fills and the bridge.
2. What actually happened?
We practiced the songs and it does sound better not especially day tripper with the tempo of the song being more accurate. We also practice the Chelsea parts but still needs working on.
3. What went well?
Day tripper the song is now a lot tighter and tempo is better , as well as my confidence on the song. We had the Chelsea parts down when we practiced it then lost it again.
4. What challenges or problems did you face?
We had to fix the tambourine , the build up section and the timing of day tripper. I also had to remember how to fix a hi hat that falls down and needs tightening. Also with the Chelsea fills I need to get down.
5. How did you try to solve these problems?
Evan helped with the tambourine and the build up section , we just practiced. When the hi hat fell I finished the song then just picked it up and fixed it. We practiced the Chelsea sections a a lot.
6. What did you learn from this rehearsal?
I learnt day tripper a lot more this practice we mainly focused on the harmony section as well as breaks and coming back in on time. I got more confident on day tripper too.
7. What will you do differently or focus on next time?
next time I think we should still be working on day tripper and Chelsea just making sure we have it ready for the gig.
