In this project Me , Ashton and Caleb were gonna write our own songs. Were thinking of doing some tippy tappy guitar midwest emo mathrock and some hardcore. Our band is gonna be called Silicon Cities. Im gonna be playing drums Ashtons playing guitar and Caleb is doing guitar and vocals. Were hoping to record the songs and play them at the gig.

I think were gonna perform a gig and record our own songs, so were gonna need to find time to use the college studio to record our songs which we can then choose if we wanna release it or not. We need to practice and write the songs in practice sessions, and if we can book more time to practice too. We can involve other people to help on the promoting such as making posters.
If we want to book a venue for it we will have to contact the venues such as 1 in 12 which lets younger people manage gigs all the time. We would also have to contact bands or our friends bands to come play in the lineup.
Im also gonna practice the drum parts at home, and keep practicing to improve my drumming such as using a metronome and doing table time/rythms , rudiments , double kick , bass independence , ghost note placements , timing , dynamics and being more creative on the kit as I need to learn how to play math rock and maybe 5/4 if they write the guitar in 5/4 or other time signatures.
I also need to learn how to record drums as I’ll have to set up the microphones for the drums. I’ll learn this by researching and looking at videos on different ways on how and find what I like the sound of. We might need like 2-3 hours in a studio to set up all the stuff and get the songs recorded. Were gonna practice as much as we can at college and at home individually while still talking about what were doing and working together that way.
Caleb already has some guitar part ideas so when we go to practice we’re gonna start creating it into a song and figuring out the sections and drum parts. We can also record us playing in the rooms to upload to social media to promote the music/gig. As well as making an official logo for the band which we will work on together in graphics Monday.

Weaknesses: “routine tasks quickly lose your interest” is true because it makes me find it more of a I have to thing instead of I want to so I should try and maintain an actual drum routine and not give up on it. “Your direct approach may sometimes ruffle feathers in the workplace” I guess this is right but I would only be direct to someone who can take it and will know I’m not being mean or insulting them , if I think someone would take it badly I would say it nicer or hint at it changing or something. If someone is really sensitive I wouldn’t say anything at all which is probably a bad thing in a band situation.”you may struggle to complete projects once the initial excitement goes away” I dont think this is true as once I have something to aim towards and I’m excited for it I will just hyper focus it until I’m happy with it.
Strengths: “Your quick mind excels at finding creative solutions to complex challenges” yeah id say I agree to this. “You effortlessly adjust to new situations valuable in fast pace environments”. “Your passion for generating ideas makes you an asset in creative disussions.”
For this term I want to improve my song writing , timing , all the other drumming fundamentals , performing live and recording drums. The skills I need for next year is better always keeping time , dynamics , and recording. I want to practice different genres to be able to write songs in that style I’m trying to take inspiration from johnny foreigner drummer because he has a unique style. Im gonna try learn songs from drummers/bands I want to write more like so I can implement it into my own writing.
