For our task 3 on our final major project we was tasked to create a fashion look that is inspired by the fashion designer Lisa schaparelli.
when researching ideas for my look i really liked the looks where Elsa used gold which is what i wanted to incorporate in my look somehow.
Elsa schaparelli
Elsa Schiaparelli was born in 190 in Rome. Elsa Schiaparelli is an Italian fashion designer best known for her work with Salvador Dali, Jean cocatu and coco channel. Elsa Schiaparelli created the house of Schiaparelli in 1927. Elsa Schiaparelli creates looks that are very unique that hold a lot of shape and form. Elsa is known for her surrealist fashion. My look
when I came to doing my look I changed some parts of it after i did my pitch and proposal. I decided to use a corset for my outfit as I wanted my look to have shape to it. When looking in the college wardrobe I found a corset that I thought would be perfect for my look. I decided to pear the coset with some trousers and a blazer that I added gems to using a hot glue gun.

When looking at corsets I liked the look of the shape of this corset as when creating my outfit I really wanted a good shape to it.
When looking at corsets I also loved the shape of this corset and the design of it as it really stands out which is what I wanted with my look.
Inspiration
When looking at outfits I really liked the image below as I loved the shape of the outfit and how it stood out. I will be using this outfit as an inspiration as I wanted to get shape into my look as schapparelli is about shape and form about her outfits.

My practise attempts
I practised the eyeliner look by using the elf liquid eyeliner as i find that the applicator works really well to apply eyeliner. When practising my eyeliner look I started off with creating dots as to where I wanted the eyeliner to be to ensure my look is symmetrical. I then started drawing the eyeliner starting off really slowly to ensure I do not mess it up. After I created one eye I then moved onto the other I eye referring back to the mirror to ensure they are symmetrical.
Overall I am happy with my look as I was able to create the shape I wanted with the eyeliner. Next time I will add eyelashes to give a more full lash and to make my look complete.
My head piece
When making my head piece I wanted my head piece to go with my look. When looking for something to use for my head piece I found a necklace that i thought would be perfect for my look so i stuck it to a head band using a hot glue gun. After i stuck the neckless to the headband i was happy with my head piece.
My assessment
Makeup
When creating my makeup look I started with foundation, when doing the foundation I made sure to match the foundation correctly to my models skin tone to ensure the skin looked flawless. After i i matched the foundation I ensured the foundation was fully blended. After foundation I moved onto concealer to brighten my models under eyes and cover any blemishes. After I blended the concealer I then moved onto cream bronzer following my models ear and then my models forehead an my models nose. After the bronzer was fully blended I then moved onto cream blush applying it to my models cheek bones and the end of my models nose. After the blush was fully blended I used a setting powder to set the base, after I set the base I moved onto powder bronzer applying it on top of the cream bronzer to set it. I then moved onto powder blush applying it on top of where i applied the cream blush to set it. After the bronzer and blush I moved onto highlighter applying it to my models nose and top of the cheek bones. After the skin i then moved onto the eyes and eyebrows. when doing my models eyebrows i used an eyebrow pencil to create a good shape for my models eyebrows. After i created thee eyebrows i then moved onto the eyes. When create the eye look i used the elf eyeliner and started with marking where i wanted the eyeliner to be ensuring the eyeliner was symmetrical by referring to the mirror. After creating the eyeliner I added gold to the eyelid. I then finished the eyes with mascara and eyelashes. To finish the makeup I lined my models lips with a pinky brown lip liner and added a gloss
Hair
This is my hair inspiration, I loved this hair as I love how the bun looks and how the spikes on the bun make the look more unique which is very fitting for the look as Elsa schapparelli looks are very unique.
When creating my models hair i wanted to create a spiky bun with a middle park. When creating the hair I used a comb and a hair brush to get the hair into place I used the got 2b hair spray and a hair mouse to keep the hair into place. After putting the hair into a pony tail I then twisted the hair and put it into the shape bun i wanted and secured it with an elastic. I then sprayed the spiky bits of hair into place and secured the bun with hair pins and hair spray. After creating the hair I then added my head piece to my models head to finish the look.
After I did the hair and makeup I then moved onto the outfit where i asked my model to put on a corset black trousers and a blazer. I was very happy with how the outfit turned out as it had the shape I wanted with the corset.
Reflections
makeup– Overall I was happy with the makeup however when creating the makeup I noticed some creasing under the eyes. To fix this problem I decided to take of the concealer under the eyes and reapply it putting the products on the back of my hand and warming it up and applying it with a smaller makeup brush instead of a foundation brush or a sponge when applying the concealer this way I found this worked better. As well as this I found that my model has quite watery eyes so when I applied the eyeliner it smudged in some places. I fixed this by using a cotton bud to dry my models eye and re applied the eyeliner.
hair– Overall I was happy with how the hair turned out however I noticed there was some fly away when taking photos. Next time I will add more hair spray to ensure the hair is fully sleek.
