Reflection 1-5/02/24-7/02/24
With Jess we did a dance mock audition. In groups upto 3 we had to choose a song from a musical to dance to so we decided to do six wives from six the musical. My group was Amber, Sophie and me. We started off really well and then got distracted as other peers were putting their songs quite loud. We decided to shift to another room and managed to complete the dance. We were then called back to present our dances. We managed to do it to the best of our abilities but there was definitely room for improvement.
Reflection 2- 19/02/24-21/02/24
With Steph we got into our groups for the acting auditions and rehearsed our lines and started acting out our performances. I still need to learn my lines and get it done as soon as possible. The next day, with Steph we got back into our groups and this time we started adding movement and facial expression as that is very important in a musical, I have now kind of got the hang of my lines but I’m not fully confident in knowing them without taking a look at the script.
Reflection 3- 26/02/24-29/02/24
With Steph we got into our audition groups and rehearsed again and again. I finally learnt my lines and was pretty confident in them. Steph then assed our rehearsal auditions and told me my areas of expertise and areas for improvement.
With Steph we again rehearsed with our audition groups again and again till it became perfection, because a lot of people were absent I filled in and assisted other groups. The level 3 extended then assed our rehearsals, giving us feedback on where we should improve and letting us know of our strengths.
Audition day- on the day of the audition I was quite nervous. I kept going through my lines again and again and just before going into the room for the audition me and my group rehearsed once again.
