For this major project 4, I am doing a cover version of the song ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran on my keyboard the Yamaha Sx700 professional arranger workstation. This cover that I’m doing is a little challenger for myself because I’ve never done a song cover from scratch to making it sound perfect just like the original piece even though I know how to do it and the process but it is a challenge it is not easy.

Here is a video from YouTube of some man who did a keyboard cover of the song that I’m doing. He has an older workstation the PSR S770 which has great functions but not better than my new SX series workstation.

The chords in the song are G, E minor, C and D. Really easy 4 chords without any transposing.

The lead in the song is an acoustin guitar and Ed Sheeran as vocals, you can also hear a viola, violin, piano and flute. This means that on my keyboard I have to sample the original flute thats used in the song if I want to master the piece on my keyboard and then reverb, echo, delay and chorus will be added to the flute depending on how much is used in the original piece.
