Slay was the first song from the project that I started on. The drop was what came first with me just laying the foghorn pattern and that drum loop down and the whole project came from there, with the name coming from a sample of someone saying slay that randomly came from Instagram.

I’m very happy with this song, as I am with the other 2 that are being released in this ep. I feel like the low end of this song is extremely powerful and sounds amazing out of a big sound system. The dark intro sound has a great timbre that sounds really good in tandem with all of the other sounds in the mix and I just think that all of the components in the song match really well.
