This is a mind map documenting all of the different skills each project contains and demonstrates. The main skills out of all of these that I would say I’m best at are Setup, Mixing & Mastering, and Preparation. I always like to be organised and prepared before working in a studio or a practice room, this directly links into the Setup part, which I am quite proficient at, and makes setting up far easier. As far as Mixing & Mastering are concerned, I find naturally I am again quite proficient at these two skills where individual work comes into play.
The transferrable skill I find myself to be best at is problem solving. I find myself to be best at solving problems, especially with gear inside of the studio or behind a stage. However one thing I do need to work on is collaboration with other people. I like to do things as an individual and this sometimes comes at the detriment of my collaborative skills.
The 3 skills on here that I think I need to work on are Songwriting, Graphic Design, and Rehearsing. Songwriting has always been quite hard for me, not structuring but the actual idea creation process. Graphic design is a skill that I have had practically 0 prior experience with before moving to bradford college, however, it is being developed in graphics lessons. And rehearsing. As seen in my prior projects, Rehearsing isn’t something that I am the most committed to so it is definitely a field that requires work.
