CV, Business Cards, Logo

As part of my final major project and professional work preparation, I have to prepare a professional CV, logo and business card for if I choose to do makeup as a career after college. In my first year we attempted to do this but we didn’t end up committing to creating these as part of the curriculum so I don’t have any of the original designs, however I am glad to be revisiting this aspect of the course as it would be beneficial to my own career if I choose to pursue makeup.

CV:

Using references of CV’s that I saw on Canva, I built my CV with my relevant experience, skills and portfolio pieces:

LOGO:

Since I started to design my own logo in my first year, I tried to recall my own design that I drew and adapt it from what I could remember. This is my progression of designs that I created on ProCreate,

My first design was ok, but I felt like the outline was too messy and it didn’t look particularly professional.
My second design was a bit too plain and still didn’t have the right professional flare to it.
I liked my third design because I thought that the rectangle incorporated the white into the design more and made it look better.
This design was my favourite, I think that the colours finally went together perfectly and created the right look for my own brand.
This is my final logo design, I learnt how to add text on ProCreate which helped me make my logo look more professional.

BUSINESS CARDS:

I made my business card using the same/ similar colour schemes and geometric patterns as my logo and CV so that the three were cohesive. This would make my brand more recognisable. I also wanted to keep my business card simple because a lot of brands that are very well known have simple card designs, such as MAC, Loreal and Elf.
