Presentation:

I was unable to get a picture of my station before and after my assessment as models arrived a while before we expected and we did not have a lot of time to clean up after we had completed our looks. There were also videographers for the degree students, which also made it difficult to manoeuvre around the studio efficiently enough. Still I made sure to keep my station as clean as possible.

Planning & Production:

PRODUCTS I WILL USE:

(FROM COLLEGE)

. Sculpt Gel

. Illustrator Palette

. Fake Blood

. Heat Protection Spray

. Hair Curlers

. Hair Pins

. Gel Hair Spray

. Skin Prep

. Dermashield

(FROM MY KIT)

. Crème Foundation, Contour and Concealer

. Setting Powder

. Blush

. Brown Mascara

. Clear Lip Gloss

To start, I prepped my models skin with a cleanser, toner and moisturiser that fit her skin type. I then used dermashield to protect her skin from the special effects products I used.

I then mixed parts a, b and c of sculpt gel and blended it out on my models face. I used the rounded end of the mixing tool to blend and the shaper end to cut the sculpt gel open in 3 places to look like Freddy Kruger’s glove marks.

Before I filled in the wounds, I used my crème palette to add a small amount of foundation, concealer and contour to my models face. I then added a small amount of powder on the eyelids and a small amount around their face. I added a powder blush and some red from my bruise wheel underneath the eyes to make her look tired and worn out from running away. I then added brown mascara because it looks more natural on my model than black mascara.

I then used an illustrator palette to add shades of red and black to the inside of my wounds before adding fake blood around the wounds and down the neck to finish the makeup part of my look.

For the hair part of my look, I put my models hair into a high side ponytail and used a wide barrel curler to add curls to the ponytail, being sure to add heat protection spray. Once that was done, I wrapped some parts of the curls around the bobbles to hide them and I pinned the curls in place with hair pins.

I then pulled the hair out of the bobbles slightly so that the hair didn’t look flat to the head, as this would be slightly inaccurate to the time frame that Nightmare On Elm Street was set (1980’s). I then added gel spray to the hair to hold it in place and to finish my look as a whole.
