TUTOR FEEDBACK:
After my assessment was completed, my tutor said that I did an excellent job. My base was good and the spirals were very clear. My points of improvement from my tutor were that I should add frizz cream to the hair and make my spirals clearer so that they were completely opaque. My tutor really liked the scarf that my model was wearing around their neck because it really brought look together perfectly.
PERSONAL REFLECTION:
Overall, I think that my look was ok but could have been a lot better. If I were to re do this assessment, I would not use any green face paint because I found that it became too overpowering for the other colours and ended up making the face paint look slightly muddy. I also think that my spirals could have been more even and thinner if I had used an even thinner brush as opposed to the thin circular spoolie I used.
However, I think that I did a good job using face paint for the white lashes. I also think that leaving the eyebrows just brushed out and having a plain, clear lip gloss on my model was a lot better than if I were to have made them white. I think that too much white could have been as overpowering as the green was, which would only have made my look worse in the long run.
SMART TARGET: In the future, I will consider how different levels of product pigmentation can affect the look in my research so that my final design is to the best of my ability.
