TUTOR FEEDBACK:
My tutor said that she was very impressed with my symmetry and said I did an excellent job with the dots. I was told that my base was very good and the hair was also very good. I needed to add more lip liner so that it was more visible on camera. I also needed to clean up the small bits of mascara fallout and make sure there was no sleep in the corner of my models eyes. My final pictures were taken after the small adjustments
PERSONAL REFLECTION:
Overall I was very happy with this look, I thought it was a lot better skill-wise than my first assessment. I was very proud of myself for getting the symmetry as good as I did and I was glad that I didn’t use translucent powder because the base doesn’t look as cakey as some of my past looks have done. I do think that the ponytails could have been better if they were both bouncier; the second ponytail I did was a lot flatter. I did the same amount of sections on both sides but I think the sections in the second ponytails were either too thick or still too wet from the heat protection spray (I know that the curls can look different depending on how wet the heat protection spray is). If I were to do this assessment again, I would try find a way around not being able to use the air brush. I would find a model based on the shades that college has available so that I’m not as limited to products an techniques that I can use in my future assessments.
SMART TARGET: In the future, I will try not to forget to add a picture of my station after my assessment.
