I picked this song because it has a nice use of chords and strumming<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I feel I could of stuck to the original instead of improvising with the strumming in and chord order<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand it is a good improv of the song and I feel it goes together nicely<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I used my phone to record my assessment the sound quality could be better if I had the right recording tools it overall it wasn&#8217;t too bad<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I slowed the outro down to give the ending more emphasis on the final chords<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The song is made up of barre chords and open chords wich isn&#8217;t too much of a challenge the only thing I need to work on is keeping the strings from buzzing and getting a clear sound from the extension of a chord<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div data-wp-interactive=\"core\/file\" class=\"wp-block-file\"><object data-wp-bind--hidden=\"!state.hasPdfPreview\" hidden class=\"wp-block-file__embed\" data=\"https:\/\/digitalspace.bradfordcollege.ac.uk\/10681461\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/983\/2024\/09\/Bradley-Eccles.pdf\" type=\"application\/pdf\" style=\"width:100%;height:600px\" aria-label=\"Embed of Bradley Eccles.\"><\/object><a id=\"wp-block-file--media-a9326747-03ff-4f22-b4ac-ac14a3f4d773\" href=\"https:\/\/digitalspace.bradfordcollege.ac.uk\/10681461\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/983\/2024\/09\/Bradley-Eccles.pdf\">Bradley Eccles<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/digitalspace.bradfordcollege.ac.uk\/10681461\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/983\/2024\/09\/Bradley-Eccles.pdf\" class=\"wp-block-file__button wp-element-button\" download aria-describedby=\"wp-block-file--media-a9326747-03ff-4f22-b4ac-ac14a3f4d773\">Download<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>target 1-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I need to specifically work on perfecting my left hand muting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m going use this initial assessment as a point of reference then use it to compare to future videos and look at what&#8217;s changed what&#8217;s good and what&#8217;s bad<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I believe the tasks I have given myself are definitely achievable to me with time spent learning and practicing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>it is important to do this for me because I want to improve and I am determined to learn more about music as a whole and not just guitar itself <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I practice as often as I can and will continue to do so until I am happy with the results of whatever piece I am trying to perfect<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>target 2- <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I need to work on my timing and keeping everything together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I will know when it improves because I will record my rehearsals and look back every 2 to 3 weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know I will be able to achievable because I will practice 3-4 times a week to perfect it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>this is important to me because to be a guitarist you need to have the proper skills to stay in time and to not throw people off the tempo of the song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I will aim to complete this task by the end of the month .( September).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>target 3<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I will learn the entire song from start to finish to the original song with no mistakes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I will know this is better because I will compare it to my initial assessment<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know this is achievable because I will practice often and not give up on it<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>this is important to me because to be a guitarist u can&#8217;t make mistakes on a live show<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I will aim to complete this by the end of the month .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I chose to play a section of Shadow of the sun by paul weller.
