class="wp-block-heading">Meaning

I would say the meaning of this song is about cocky arrogant guys who think they are walking legends who never understand that what they do and how they try attract people by acting like they don’t care is mostly disrespectful, it looks stupid, its cringey and most of all it almost never works. I guess its about them protecting there ego’s or cred when they get rejected for acting like a melt.

Bunk Brothers (4th song)

Brad, Ben, Lewis, Jacob

This just shows lewis practicing the chugging beat for the bluesy brother song as we wanted to do something different with the drums instead of just having some boring drums over it so we are trying out things he has not played before. To help him we recommended him learning a couple of old songs that use a similar technique on blues songs way back when like Johnny Cash.

Chords

E maj, A maj, D maj for the verse

E maj, A maj, D maj and B7 for the chorus

1st verse

Remember when we used to always fight

back when it mattered who was right

remember how we used to play

and the kind of things that we would say

we did it our way

Remember when we used to sometimes share

and we would go to woods to look for bears

See it never mattered the time of day

or whats was inside on our plate

we did it any way

Chorus

So why is it now that you test me

after all these years this is beneath me (and you)

why are we still talking all this junk

or do I have to remind you

We came from the same bunk

2nd verse

Remember sneaking out for our first smoke ?

and how much we coughed on our first toke

but no matter how much dad would poke

we weren’t the kind that would of spoke

We did it our way

Do you remember how hard it was to try

after all these things that made mum cry

but it doesn’t really matter how bad things got

coz it never really seemed to make us stop

doing it our way

Chorus

So why is it now that you test me

after all these years this is beneath me (and you)

why are we still talking all this junk

or do I have to remind you

We came from the same bunk

Instrumental/keyboard solo

Outro/or maybe just a sudden stop while at the peak of the solo.

Meaning

To me this is just a common story of two brothers who had what some would consider a little rough around the edges but never the less the young brothers would stick together with a strong bond and how that can change as you grow.

New song (The beautiful tune)

Brad

I was looking into a new local band from Manchester called Garage Flower, this band have gained a lot of hype and publicity in a very short amount of time and they haven’t even released a song yet. They did this by consistently uploading gig videos, rehearsal videos and the video that got them all the clout which was basically the guitarist getting mad and throwing his guitar (I don’t see the hype in the action) however their songs do sound pretty good and the band seems to be pretty tight live or in the videos at least.

I looked into some of the early videos they would post and found of the guitarists Nathan showing a new song sounding pretty modern with a capo on the fret board, It sounded almost like a blend of a midwest indie rock kind of thing but any way I liked it and wanted to see if I could make a similar sounding song so I put my capo on a random fret which was the 3rd one by chance and I payed attention to what kind of shapes his fingers where making on the board and it just looked like he was letting most pf the open strings do the work with only like two or three fingers per chord so thats what I went for and after a little bit of messing around I came to write this amazing new sounding tune thats just seems to work for the people who hear it so far and I really like it.

After sticking with this tune for a while I realised I really don’t know how to write lyrics for this song, i’m hitting the same block I always do so what I need to do is find a quality vocal melody thats not too over powering for the little embellishments that make the song good but can still sound great with the song.

Song 1 (1st song) Brad, Ben, Lewis and Jacob Gradual change, positive vibrant start for first verse and chorus, as song progresses the mood comes down slowly changing into a more negative accepting feeling.
