 Half the World Away is a world famous, very well known song first appeared on the B-side of Whatever and written by Noel Gallagher, famously serving as the theme song for the BBC sitcom The Royal Family. Released in 1994 with Whatever. The song later appeared on The Masterplan compilation. The song features a distinct Wurlitzer electric piano riff inspired by Burt Bacharach. Oasis are a band formed in Manchester in 1991, became a defining English rock band of the 1990s Britpop movement, known for hits like Wonderwall and a massive sibling rivalry between Liam and Noel Gallagher. Signing to Creation Records in 1993, they achieved massive commercial success with Definitely Maybe (1994) and (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, selling over 75 million records. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
