The idea we have decided to go with is me, Ben, Jacob and Lewis are writing an album with no specific genre theme, we wanted it to be loads of different styles and genres in one album. I want around 10 to 12 songs on this album I feel like this will be enough songs to show a good diverse album set. We planned to meet at mine twice a week because we can rehearse at my house and then every chance we get at college to play around with new ideas and get them up to scratch to be altered and improved into near enough a full song. For some genres like rock and distorted music we would like to use Jacob and his guitar as his mind and writing preference bends towards rock, punk, blues and cool solos. I know Ben loves to write and play jazz music along with soul and funk, Lewis is great at adding his own touch on the drums no matter the genre and I can and have written plenty of songs in the past and now for this album I can provide loads of ideas and keep the songs coming consistently. I know if we want to pull it off we need to make sure we have a good understanding on theory to put chords together and for lead parts we need to make sure we are confident with a series of different scales to fit whatever we may write, we will need consistency and regular arranged work time in and out of college. We will need to think about artwork for the cover as it needs to look amazing so we are going to have some help from Paul. I believe this is possible because I have written a few songs, I have written lyrics so I have a little experience writing as a whole. I have collaborated with other musicians before ranging from bands as big as 7 members to as little 2.
